1 Timothy 2:1–7
1First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 7For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Personal Application:
I’m skipping personal application and trusting it will happen in my prayer time. I feel like I’ve got to stop and start praying immediately.
Interactive Prayer:
Father, make me a greater man of prayer. Make our staff and leaders greater men and women of prayer. Make our church a church of prayer. Father, do this work in me in a greater way. Father, forgive me for being too busy too frequently. Father, forgive me for relying upon my abilities instead of my prayers. Father, forgive me from relying upon my work ethic instead of my prayer life. Father, lead me to be the man of prayer You desire me to be. Father, give me the faith and discipline to pray more.
Protect me, our staff and our church from the enemy and his distractions. Put a hedge of protection around our church. I pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ will fall on good soil. Give our people hearts of obedience. Cause our people to say “yes” to You instead of “wait.” Cause our people to say “yes” to You instead of “no.” Cause our entire church to be moved by You. Father, I pray that unbelievable numbers of people would make decisions for Christ this spring. I pray that every regular attender would make a decision to go to Greenlight. I pray that every regular attender or member who isn’t in a group or class will commit to a group or class. I pray for the Ignite classes to get an unbelievable response. We don’t have time to wait. There is no time like the present to obey God. There is no day like the present to “Go into all the world and make disciples…”
Father, do an incredible work in the students of Overton through the students of Highpoint. Bring revival to our church and through our church. Father, we aren’t content with less than the fullness of Your Spirit. We aren’t content with sin winning. Give us the ability to stand up and be counted. Give us the ability to quit making excuses. Give us the ability to believe we can do it. Give us the faith to believe You can do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we can think or ask through us. Father, increase my faith. Give me the boldness I need to preach and teach with authority. Move people off their butts and out of their ruts and awaken them. Give them the ability to respond to You as if “Today was your last day and tomorrow was too late.”
Father, use this song below in my life and in our church cause us to obey as if today was our last day. I’m fired up and ready to do it. Show us Your glory for Your glory!
