1 Timothy 4:13–16

Mar 19

13Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching. 14Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery. 15Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all. 16Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

Focused Thinking:

Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.

Note-I’m going straight to application. The observation and interpretation of this passage is obvious.

Personal Application:

How do I neglect my spiritual gifts?

What do I need to do to develop my spiritual gifts?

I neglect my gift of teaching by not prioritizing it more.

Good is the enemy of Great.

What do I need to do to go from good to great?

I don’t neglect the gift of leading. I’m constantly working on that.

I need more people who specialize in organizing me.

I need more people who capture my ideas and help me prioritize and implement them.

I need more people who are detail people.

I need more people who are process people.

I neglect the gift of faith by not praying enough.

Time in the Word always increases my faith.

TIme in prayer always increases my faith.

Answered prayer always increase my faith.

Results always increase my faith.

Vacations always increase my faith.
