About
A native of Memphis, Chris Conlee has responded to God’s call to impact his hometown. In the midst of his collegiate golf career, Chris had a crisis of belief that led him to abandon his dream of golf and to relentlessly pursue the heart of God. After completing his bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and his Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Chris followed God’s direction to plant a church that would be a perfect place for imperfect people.
In 2002 Highpoint, a non-denominational church, was birthed to be that place. Chris’ conviction to create an environment of compassion without compromise allows the dechurched, unchurched and churched of the mid-south region to have a God-centered, relevant church home.
With a huge heart for people and the ability to cast vision, Chris has used his leadership and teaching strengths in both the church and business community. As Highpoint has grown to over one thousand in attendance, the Memphis Business Journal recently named Chris as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” leaders in the city.
Chris is married to his best friend, Karin. They have two children, Mark and Annika. Chris loves to spend his free time taking his wife out on dates, watching his children play sports, reading and cheering on the Memphis Tigers basketball team.
Some of Chris’ recent series include Losing My Religion: Moving from the Head to the Heart; Never Alone, Never Again: Where is God when Life Hurts?; Magnify: The Only Response to the Magnificent; and My Priority Time: Addicted to God’s Word.
