Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

What does it mean that we are His workmanship?
We are created in His image to have relationship with Him.
We are created in His image to reflect His image.
We are the pinnacle of His creation.
We are the masterpiece of His creation.
Why were we created?
10…created in Christ Jesus for good works.
We weren’t created for our pleasure; we were created for His pleasure.
We weren’t created for attendance; we were created for good works.
What is the purpose of our good works?
God wants our good works to bless others and glorify Him.
Matthew 5:16
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
When did God prepare our good works?
God designed us with good works in mind.
- God designed us with specific gifts for specific good works.
- God designed us with specific strengths for specific good works.
Personal Application:
What good works has God prepared for me to walk?
- God called me to pastor.
- God called me to devote myself to prayer and the ministry of the Word.
- God called me to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.
How did God design me?
- God gave me the gifts of teaching, leading and risk-taking (faith).
- God has gifted me to be a visionary leader.
- God has gifted me to be a catalytic leader.
- God called me to start Highpoint Church.
- God called me to start a movement of God.
- God called me to pray for revival and spiritual awakening.
Interactive Prayer:
Father, help me to love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Help me maximize the gifts You’ve given me. Help me be fully surrendered to Your Spirit.
Father, help me focus on becoming the best teacher I can possibly be for Your glory. Help me to eliminate distractions and prioritize developing my preparation and presentation skills. Protect me from ever becoming satisfied. Protect from ever minimizing what You can do through the teaching of Your Word. Give me the faith and conviction to always teach and preach for a decision/response.
Father, help me develop my leadership gifts. Give me the ability to see the impossible and believe it is possible. Give me the ability to see what could be, what should be and what must be. Give me the ability to define the problems, offer the solutions and present compelling reasons why we must act. Give me the ability to be used by You to change this city.
Father, give me the faith to believe that You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Give me the faith to believe that the church of “Acts 2” is possible today. Give me the faith to go against the current of complacency and low expectations. Protect me from growing weary in doing good. Give me the faith to never be content. Give me the faith to truly build a church that makes disciples.
For we are His
workmanship — His design, His craft, His artistry, His expertise, His handiwork — again ALL His doing — It’s NOT about my work to better myself, it’s about His design!
