Ephesians 3:20–21

Feb 07

20Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Personal Application:

What are God’s dreams for Highpoint?

Exodus 3:11–12
11But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” 12And He said, “Certainly I will be with you and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who has sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”

God is using this church to forgive and free people from their past.

Why is this church a risk-taking church?

Exodus 33:18
Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!”

Exodus 34:6
Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness and truth.

We want to present the God who is:

Exodus 34:8
Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship.

Exodus 34:10
Then God said, “Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the LORD, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.

I believe God re-communicated and reinforced the promise of revival on Dec. 12, 2008 through Judges 6.

Interactive Prayer:

Father, forgive me for the times I doubt. Fatigue is a dangerous, dangerous weapon. When I get too busy, I doubt. When I spend less time in the Word and prayer, I doubt. When I’m not relationally right with people, my prayer is interrupted. Father, protect me from busyness.

Give us the resources we need and the personnel we need for me to radically change my role and responsibilities. The spiritual battle is too intense for me to be running on empty. Too much is riding on the line for me to be leading and managing an organization instead of devoting myself to prayer and the ministry of the Word. Forgive me for working too hard in my own strength. Revival will not happen with me leading/managing 75% of the time and studying and teaching 25% of the time. Father, that must be reversed!

Father, do a work in me that is abundantly beyond all that I can ask or think. I pray that You would use me to bring revival to Memphis and beyond. I pray that the spirit of repentance would blow over our church in 2010 and that people would worship, connect, equip and serve. I pray that You will make us a church that is used by You beyond what we can ask or think to “make disciples.”

Father, give a super-sized gift to this church for the purpose of acquiring or building a facility. I pray that this church will grow spiritually, numerically and financially. I pray for a heart and culture of tithing. I pray that You will glorify Yourself through Highpoint.

Father, I pray that the “My Priority Time” curriculum will have huge success because it is the single greatest need in the life of every person. Make this a part of the DNA of this church. Give me wisdom as I write this series and curriculum. Bless it and give it favor so that You can use it.
