Ephesians 6:17

Feb 26

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Focused Thinking:

What is the soldier’s weapon?

…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The sword of the Spirit and prayer are the weapons that attack Satan’s strongholds and defeat him.

The Word of God and prayer are the soldier’s only offensive weapon.

Personal Application:

I must become a master swordsman.

Interactive Prayer:

Father, forgive me for not disciplining myself to memorize more Scripture. Help me commit to Scripture memory with Karin, Mark and Annika.

I pray that my family will be lovers of the Word of God. Give us a passion for learning, loving and living the Word of God. Make me a man of the Word in every respect.

Father, I pray for the Word of God to purify my life and to give me the power to walk by the Spirit. I pray that I will renew my mind and be transformed by the Word of God. Father, help me to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Father, help me develop my spiritual gift of teaching. Help me to accurately handle the Word. Anoint my teaching. Give me the ability to teach Your Word the way You taught Your Word. Give me the ability to teach with Your power and authority. Give me the ability to teach in the power and demonstration of the Spirit.

Father, cause the Holy Spirit to be present and powerful in and through my life and my teaching. Give me the ability to equip men and women to do the work of the ministry. I pray that my teaching and curriculum on My Priority Time will be anointed and effective. Use it for Your glory.

Father, I pray that Highpoint Church will be known by our addiction to the Word of God. I pray that we will love You more because we know You more. I pray that we will obey You more because we love You more. I pray that You will “show us Your glory”.
