Matthew 11:1–6 prayer

Jul 13

1When Jesus had finished giving instructions to His twelve disciples, He departed from there to teach and preach in their cities.
2
Now when John, while imprisoned, heard of the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples 3and said to Him, “Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?” 4Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: 5the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6“And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.”

Father, give me Your vision for Highpoint. Give me the ability to see it, feel it and live it. Give me the ability to communicate Your heart for people in a way that connects with people. Give me the ability to give people the teaching they need to give us their idols. Father, show me how to show them a bigger and better picture of You. Father, we desperately need You to help us move beyond facts to feelings. Help us to truly love You with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind. Father, help us to focus on truly loving one another. Make us a people that loves to love people. Father, I pray that we will be known by love.

Father, help me to be holier and healthier than I’ve ever been. Give me the ability to lead with more faith and confidence than I’ve ever led before. Father, give us a breakthrough year where we see our people consistently take steps toward You. Father, give us the ability to truly realize that there is no other purpose to life than loving You and loving others. Father, help us to see that and feel that in specific ways instead of in a general way. Father, I pray for each person in our church to love well. I pray that our people will love specific people well. I pray that we will love people into the kingdom. I pray that we will love people up to God’s standard.

I pray that we will see the blind receive sight. Father, I pray for Anna Lee Blanton. Bless her in her ministry. I pray that You would allow our paths to cross again and that some of her experiences and faith would be developmental for our faith. Father, give us the facts and feelings to truly commit to prayer. Father, grow our prayer team and make us a church that truly prays for revival and spiritual awakening. Father, the problems are too great and cannot be solved apart from the power of the Holy Spirit reviving the church and awakening the unsaved.

Father, increase our leaders. Give us the staff members we need to fill open positions. Father, give us the leaders we need to for our children ministries, student ministries, college ministries and single ministries. Give us families like the Kuhlman’s. Father, multiply their numbers, give us more families like the Collum’s. Give us people who are willing to invest their lives. Father, give us people like the Tashie’s to lead our groups. Surround the Tashie’s and all of our group leaders with leadership teams. Father, give us a breakthrough in the world of connect and serve.

Father, I pray for more and more breakthroughs with Overton. Give us favor with faculty, coaches, parents and students. Father, be with the students at camp this week. I pray for amazing breakthroughs at camp. Father, I pray that the seeds of the Word of God would be planted and come to harvest. I pray that the players who were saved at Big Stuff will influence the rest of the players at this camp. Father, I pray for the Spirit of the Lord to blow through that camp in a powerful way. Father, I pray for anybody who hasn’t trusted Christ to trust Christ as their Lord and Savior. Father, I pray that You will give the students the faith and obedience to go public with their faith by following the Lord in baptism.

Come Holy Spirit Come!
