Matthew 5:17–20

Apr 26

from saturday night prayer…

17“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18“For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19“Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20
“For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Interactive Prayer:

Father, I pray that Your Spirit will blow through our services tomorrow in a powerful way. Give us the fullness of Your Spirit tomorrow. I am very confident in Your Word for tomorrow, but unless You give me the ability to preach in the power and demonstration of the Spirit nothing of eternal significance will happen. Father, I don’t want to see minimal results tomorrow; I want to see unlimited results.

Father, give me the ability to be sensitive to the promptings of Your Spirit tomorrow. I pray that our people come prayed up and prepared to worship You tomorrow. I pray that You will move upon the hearts of our worship team and fill them up to all the fullness of God. Anoint our worship team and give us the ability to lead our people to worship You freely and fully. Inhabit the praises of our people tomorrow and cause Your Spirit to move strongly in the lives of people.

I pray that our people will hear Your voice tomorrow. I pray that they will be spiritually honest with themselves tomorrow. Give our people ears to hear and hearts to obey tomorrow. Father, give our people the ability to confess the sin of hypocrisy. Give our people the willingness to repent of the sin of hypocrisy. I pray that tomorrow will be a breakthrough day for our church tomorrow. I pray that unbelievable numbers of people will trust You as their Lord and Savior tomorrow. I pray that many people will commit to follow the Lord in baptism. I pray that You will give people the courage to respond during the response time. I pray for a spirit of freedom tomorrow during the respond time. Give us the ability to see true brokenness through the message, through communion and through Chuck and Michelle’s story tomorrow. Father, give Chuck and Michelle anointed words tomorrow. I pray that Your Spirit will anoint him and that You will speak through him. I pray for You to glorify Yourself tomorrow and to accomplish Your purposes.
