Matthew 7:3–5 prayer
3“Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4“Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Interactive Prayer:
Father, give us the ability to look at our own hearts instead of others. Give us the integrity to look in the mirror daily. Give us the ability to be spiritually honest. Give me the ability to grow more spiritually the second half of this year than I’ve ever grown before. Give me the desire, determination and discipline to grow spiritually, intellectually and physically. Give me the ability to break life-long patterns. Give me the ability to make new choices to break old habits. Give me the ability to break bad eating habits. Give me the courage to be decisive in that area. Help me to be committed. Father, help evaluate my life and target the top three areas that will make the three biggest changes in my life.
Father, I want to be everything You want me to be in life. Help me to decisively manage my time in such a way that I am progressing as a man of God, progressing as a husband, progressing as a father, progressing as a friend and progressing as a pastor. Father, give me the ability to focus on abiding in You more. Give me the ability to truly understand what it means to practice the presence of God. Give me the ability to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. Give me a greater awareness of being tuned in to You every second of every day. Give me the ability to walk by the Spirit and to bear the fruits of the Spirit.
Father, help me to perform to the best of my abilities, but to trust You for the results. Give me the ability to have complete and total confidence in You in and through me. Protect me from carrying too much of the responsibility. Help me not only to always grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically, but ultimately to trust You to do more through my faith than through my ability. Father, if my family or if Highpoint is dependent upon my ability then all of us will be disappointed.
Father, increase my faith. Give me the ability to see You as You are. Give me the ability to understand You, to understand Your Word and to understand Your Church. Give me the ability to know how to lead Your Church to unleash Your power. Father, I don’t want a church that can be explained by man’s leadership and abilities; I want a church that can only be explained by You. Father, please cause Your Holy Spirit to blow through the lives of our staff and leaders. Father, grow our prayer ministry. Anoint Matthew Bryan to build a prayer movement. Father, give us the faith and obedience to listen to You in prayer and respond. Father, give this church the ability to break through the spiritual warfare and resistance and to empower the light of the gospel to penetrate the darkest of the darkness.
Father, increase my vision. Give me Your vision and help me to know how to build Your Church to truly change this city. Father, give us the spiritual growth needed, give us the life changed needed, give us the leadership needed, and give us the resources needed. Father, give us the ability to be a church that doesn’t operate by the 20/80 rule. Give us the ability to truly be a church of followers instead of attendees. Give us the ability to be a church that makes God priority, that makes Discipleship priority, and that makes Mission priority. Father, give us the ability to focus on those three priorities and to see them fulfilled by your power in and through us.
