I have loved doing the My Priority Time study, but I am so looking forward to next week. I want to be able to choose a book of the Bible and create my own priority time, using the guidelines from Chris’ study.
Thank you, Chris, for your passion for God’s Word and your passion for all of us to know what God expects of us. Your honesty and willingness to “tell it like it is” is very refreshing in our world today.

This series has rocked my world!!! Thank you Chris for being a leader who understands that getting deep into God’s word is the absolute foundation for our walk in this life with Christ. I’m trying real hard to FINALLY get it. One thing that has stood out for me is something John Piper said in a sermon he preached on Ephesians 1:22–23. “God aims to fill the universe with the glory of his son through making the church, i.e. us, the showcase of ALL his perfections.” WOW!!! What a privilege God has given us. Again thanks Chris for taking us through Ephesians.

I wanted to tell you what a difference My Priority TIme is making in my life. Between this study and CR, I feel as if I have found my first love again. I am so grateful for all the work you have put into this, and for the fact that you want all of us to know and experience God more.

My 13-year-old granddaughter has also been faithfully having her priority time in this study. She has even asked to be relieved of her Graceland duties for the duration of the series. She wants to be able to attend worship service and hear all that you have to tell us about having a priority time. She knows she could listen later online, but wants to experience it live and in person.
I’m sure you have received dozens if not hundreds of emails thanking you for all you do.

I just want to make this one more thank you.

I really appreciate the way you are truly leading the church to develop an addiction to His Word. The way you walked us through the passage Sunday was very powerful! I have had some mountain top priority times before at various seasons, especially the first time I went through the One Year Bible. It was like opening my mail from God every day.

You are not only creating the ongoing motivation, but showing us how, and helping my passion rise to the level of an addiction.

Once a month at work, our Christian group has a devotional. I was asked to lead this month and I shared some highlights from how I am applying your series in my life. I just wanted you to know how the messages God has put on your heart are impacting my world. And consequently, I am able to proliferate it at work.

Chris, Thank you for the excellent and helpful sermon yesterday. It was inspiring. I woke up in the night thinking about the Word and was excited in a new way again to “dig in deeply and slowly”. I loved how you explained how you did your Priority Time.

Blue Letter Bible and dictionary.com have redefined “unhurried”. I’m not new to morning devotion. I’m not new to word study. But, I am new to an entire body of Christ digging through the same word (book of Scripture) at the same time. It encourages me to be accountable. It excites me to know that in the morning I’m not alone in my studies. I am experiencing newness in digging into one verse. I am probably going to start looking like a strung out addict. I’d love to put the time into every day’s study that I put into today’s 22 words, but tomorrow I hope to be in school, and that would require waking in the wee hours to sit with book and pen and laptop. We’ll see how it goes. But I see a hurry coming…not in the Word but in getting ready for the day after sitting unhurried in the Word. It IS a GLORIOUS addiction. Thanks, Highpoint!!!

As I’ve been in college, I’ve grown so much closer to God, and that is a large part because of HighPoint. Thank you for everything you do, the new book, just Everything!! God’s been calling out to me so much over the past year, and he’s really changing lots of things in my life. I love my relationship with him, and how it is growing so much. Priority time is something I’ve always tried to do, but I’ve never been entirely consistent. Thank you so much for your series. IT IS CHANGING MY LIFE. I wanted to tell you thank you for being such an enlightening role model, and for always sharing your heart. I get chills every time I step in to Highpoint. I’ve never felt this way before.

Thanks for being so passionate about God, thank you for being so passionate about people, thank you for being so passionate about reaching the lost and discipling the found. Thanks for being my Brother in Christ that provides for me a passionate example of who we are to be as His workmanship in Christ.

ONe day during my priority time I got convicted about not tithing. So the following week, I took the bold step and decided to act in obedience. There were times when I had absolutely no money in my bank account but God was providing somehow. This week, I found out how much income tax money I was getting back and its enough to get rid of my hospital bill debt, creditcard debt and student loan debt. Alot of this was holding me back financially. If I wouldnt had been having a priority time then I wouldnt have been convicted to act in obedience to God’s word. Now he has blessed me and shows me how he is always faithful and IM learning a new nature about him as well. Its so amazing to me!

Just wanted to let you know. I started my priority time a week after everyone else in my house. I always used the excuse that I didn’t have time. Sunday night in our connect group, I heard my older brother say that he would be crushed if one of his kids ever said that they didn’t have time to be with him and how God wants/desires to spend time with us. That night, I walked into my son’s room to check on him before I went to bed. He had just finished his priority time and was praying out loud (he didn’t stop even when I walked in the room). It’s one thing when you learn from your older brother, but when your 14-year-old son sets the example for dad, it’s time.

I decided to start this week, and I just wanted to let you know that I actually look forward to it. In the past I have read the Bible, but it didn’t always make sense. Your method makes it so much easier. I catch myself re-reading the verses until I actually get it. I have even taken your advice and started reading a chapter from Proverbs when I get back to my desk each morning!

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you thank you for the investment that you have made in my life and the life of my family.

Wow, day 5 for me was like a spiritual awakening! I learned that true faith is turning from idols to serve a living and true God. I turned from using drugs and stealing money, which were things that brought me physical and spiritual death, to daily serve a living and true God who brings me life and life abundantly! Thank you Highpoint family for allowing God to use you as He reached out to me, a hurting prodigal daughter, in April of 2009! I’m so glad I can say that today I celebrate recovery!

    Highpoint Staff,

Thank You All for your Service and Assistance in the production of “my Priority Time” Chris to you a Special Thanks for putting into “lay-mans” terms the reading and understandting of Gods word.

The time spend this week in preparing my heart and mine to read, understand and listen in Gods word durning MY-Priority Time has been a price I have enjoyed, Not a price I have paid.

To the members at Highpoint and Vistors this past week that received your book and opened (If nothing else but to check it out) received a blessing. They can only mulitply that Blessing through its study.

Your Brother in the Family of Christ,

Your book isn’t like anything I’ve read before. Growing up, it seemed like there was an unspoken code that if you don’t understand the King James version, you just try to understand what you can and don’t admit ignorance. It’s like trying to build a bookshelf when a few words are in English and some are in German. Thanks for rectifying this.

I just wanted to share a really quick story — my alarm went off at 5:30 this morning, and for the first time ever, I didn’t hit the snooze button. Quite the opposite actually. I sprang up and opened my PT journal and Bible, because I was so pumped about getting started on this journey. Thank you for this challenge, motivation, encouragement, etc. I can’t wait to see what this does to our church over the next coming weeks, months, years!

Chris, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being an example of spiritual discipline, of being courageous on that platform every Sunday with your challenges for us. I need explicit direction, explicit challenges, with no fluff. That’s how you dish it out, and it’s perfect for me.
